Med-Tex Services, Inc. Rescue Training Division “Rescue U” delivers Special Operations training, consulting, policy and program review, equipment demos, gap assessments and more to public and private emergency response personnel and agencies nationwide.  We specialize in Technical Rescue & Hazardous Materials Training and bring real world experience to the classroom and training grounds. We can accommodate groups of any sizes and tailor these programs to a mix audience.

Our cadre do not just teach these programs, they are active practitioners. Our instructors are field rescue technicians and bring that experience to the responder. All the instructional cadre have a Special Operations background with a Federal, State, County or Local Technical Rescue / Urban Search & Rescue Teams. Our instructors experience is a combination of Police, Fire, EMS, Aero-Medical, Haz-Mat, Urban Search & Rescue, Emergency Management, and Military. This combination of experience and education allows us to blend the real-world tactics, techniques, and procedures while balancing standardized and custom curriculum with consensus-based standards, good industry practices and federal, state or local regulations. We been a part of writing the rules so who better? We have representation on various industry committees including NFPA 350: Guide for Safe Confined Space Entry and Work

Rescue U instructors have presented at national and international conferences & symposiums including:

The Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) International, Firehouse Expo, The International Technical Rescue Symposium (ITRS), and The International Search and Rescue Conference.

During the mid-1980’s, Med-Tex Services began writing the book on Safety, Health and Rescue Services before the book or any such standard existed. With over thirty years in rescue services you can be rest assured that we bring the best training available and student safety remain paramount!
